PRIDENOW is Hiring an Industrial Maintenance Technician Near Trenton, NJ

PrideNow is hiring skilled Maintenance Mechanics (Machine Repair). This is a direct hire opportunity for our HVAC manufacturing client in Trenton, NJ.

Pay: $29.25

1st: 6am-2pm M-F

2nd: 2pm-10pm M-F

3rd: 10pm-6am (Sunday overnight-Thursday overnight)

4th (Weekend Shift): Fri, Sat, Sun 6a-6pm- 3 12-hour shifts but paid for 40 hours

BRIEF DESCRIPTION AND REQUIREMENTS

Journeyman’s papers or equivalent degree/certification with 3 years experience or 5 years performing complex mechanical work in industrial maintenance.. Must demonstrate ability in performing complex mechanical work in industrial maintenance.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Performs any combination of (but not limited to) the following duties according to specific department guidelines:
  • Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
  • Proficient in mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems repair.
  • Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
  • Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.
  • Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
  • Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.
  • Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment such as but not limited to vertical milling machine, drill press, Lathe and welding.
  • Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
  • Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
  • Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; establishing personal networks.
  • Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Ability to read blueprint, layout, install and maintain various equipment.

  • Participate in the on-the-job training of line mechanics and apprentices as needed.
  • Use computerized maintenance system to retrieve and enter information.
