Position Description/Overview

Press Ganey currently has an exciting opportunity for a Manager, Software Engineering. As the Manager, you will lead a team of individuals that specialize in the movement and transformation of Press Ganey 30 years of healthcare industry data. This role will support Survey Solutions Team and serve as the expert resource for all applications that support data collection, survey creation, and survey distribution.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for the leadership and management of the software engineering team.
• Responsible for full systems development life cycle
• Responsible for collaborating on requirements and the design, estimation, development, testing, deployment of projects/programs. 
• Actively participates in long-range Software Engineering strategy planning, provides leadership to cross-functional teams.
• Participate and contribute to Software Engineering strategic planning. Provide leadership to cross-functional teams of software engineers, test engineers, infrastructure, and product managers. 
• Defines and develops project management infrastructure, manages a methodology driven quality plan, monitors and controls the quality of the deliverable, as well as manages the project completion process through customer acceptance. 
• Works with business unit managers and forms alliances on projects, operational decisions, scheduling requirements/conflicts and vendor contract clarification.

Qualifications

• Full software development life cycle experience, project management (Agile SCRUM experience preferred), budgeting, estimating, cloud-based development (Azure preferred), C#, .NET, NodeJS, SQL Server, Angular
• Project management and software development tools
• Managing a software engineering team.
• Experience in coaching and mentoring a team
• 8-10 years’ experience in software design, architecture, implementation, testing and project management with at least 3 years of leadership experience in managing multiple, large, cross-functional teams or projects, and influencing senior level management and key stakeholders.
• Requires advanced technical and business knowledge in software development life cycle, quality assurance, project management and other related disciplines/processes.

Minimum Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or another related field
