Tri-State Staffing Solutions is recruiting for a local mattress and furniture store that has been a trusted name in the industry dating back to 1950. As they continue to grow and guarantee excellent quality, prices, and customer service, they are seeking top candidates that are dynamic, positive, friendly, and energetic to fill their vacant position as Retail Sales Associate. This position will assist and guide customers with the selection of furniture and decorative accessories needed to complete a room or furnish a home in their high-volume, retail showroom in Augusta, Maine.

As their Retail Sales Associate, it involves demonstrating an in-depth knowledge of their products while providing a welcoming customer-oriented experience. The position will help promote the continued success of company, all fellow team members, and yourself.

Retail Sales Associates come from a variety of backgrounds ranging from general retail sales or college students to a passion for design and up-to and including experienced sales professionals.

What we are looking for:

A confident & outgoing personality with expertise at developing relationships

Excellent skills at communicating with a diverse group of people & top-notch listening skills

Must be self-motivated and passionate, customer service oriented while seeking to exceed customer expectations

The ability to work a full-time retail schedule including weekends

An entrepreneurial spirit; a self-starter mentality; the ability to multi-task efficiently

Basic computer skills for entering all information accurately into our computer system

Willingness to provide professional follow-up before and after the sale

Articulate our special financing plans, delivery procedures, warranties, etc. to the customer

Coordinate delivery between the customer and our delivery system

Preference will be given to applications/resumes with furniture sales experience

Pay: $16.00 hourly PLUS Commission with Unlimited earning potential!

Sales associates earnings are directly related to the amount of time, energy, & effort put in.

Historically associates earn between $35,000 -$55,000 per year, with those giving greater effort easily earning $55,000-$70,000.
