Registered Nurse (RN) - Pre-Op/PACU - Part time

Main Line Fertility is seeking a nurse with previous recent PreOP/PACU experience to fill a part-time position. This is a team centered environment that requires someone who can work collaboratively. Our physicians are experts in the field of reproductive endocrinology. Together with a dedicated team of nurses, lab professionals and administrative staff, they provide compassionate, one-on-one care that is personalized for every patient. We invite you to apply for this position and become a valued member of our team.Specific hours needed are as follows: Up to 29 hours per week, Saturday and Sunday, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and two days during the week from 7 a.m. - 1 p.m. Flexibility and holiday rotation is required.Essential Responsibilities include but are not limited to:* Facilitates effective and efficient transition from Preop to OR and PACU to release* Utilizes appropriate body mechanics in moving patients, stretchers, and OR tables to prevent injury to patient and self.* Ability to monitor patient as anesthesia wears off and evaluate patient* Properly communicates any post-op care instructions to patient* Demonstrates knowledge of patient management, including: being available from anesthesia during intubation and extubation, assisting as needed in sudden changes in patient condition, and being readily available to assist as directed.* Prepares and administers medications as needed* IV skills preferred* Other duties as requiredEducation and Experience:* ASN or BSN* Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in PA* One year of hospital or surgery experience is required* Current BLS* ACLS and IV Skills preferredWhat we offer you:* PTO based on the number of hours worked.* 401K with a company match* Holiday pay for employees that have regular scheduled hours of 20 hours per week if the holiday falls on a regularly scheduled workday.* Employee Referral Bonus Program* Time and a half hourly wage for employees who work on company-recognized holidays.
