Intel is in the midst of a transformational journey to deliver on its ambitious IDM 2.0 strategy which includes significant manufacturing expansions and the creation of a foundry business to serve internal and external customers. Along with this strategy, Intel has committed to drive significant structural improvement to its financial performance. This unique technical position is a critical new role in our overall IAO transformation working toward creating and capturing that value proposition, which requires broad expertise across both finance and technology development.
The Intel Acceleration Office (IAO) Value Capture Business Intelligence Manager will partner across Intel Foundry and Product groups to identify unique margin improvement programs and monitor the programs to financial commitment and will work closely with the Data and Reporting capabilities team (DARC) to deliver automated dashboard capabilities for specific KPI's aligned to the IAO program initiatives.
In addition to the above, the IAO Value Capture Operations Research Analyst will partner across Intel Foundry and Product groups as well as Corporate Planning to establish real-time financial modeling capabilities to assess progress toward our IDM 2.0 profitability goals at any given time. This role will also engage directly with cost improvement teams to develop financial analyses for complex business solutions. Through these capabilities, the Value Capture COE will derive greater insights and the skills to drive continuous financial improvement in collaboration with the business groups.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong skill to manage personal performance and to communicate clearly/concisely at the executive level. The skills to recognize opportunities from abundant yet incomplete data and take a leadership role in driving insights/targets to support execution is essential. Independently and proactively analyzing financial information and developing solutions to complex problems is required. Additionally, the role will require a high degree of expertise manipulating large data sets into manageable financial models in a repeatable tool framework.
Designs, develops, and applies engineering, mathematical models, simulation tools, and optimization models to drive solutions to business operations problems using advanced coding skills. Identifies and solves highly complex problems in areas such as factory performance, loading, equipment performance, supply, and distribution network problems based on operations management, factory physics, and industrial engineering expertise. Develops, validates, and applies mathematically based decision algorithms, heuristics, and optimization models and tools. Solves manufacturing/production planning, scheduling problems, and challenges around optimization of factory capacity constraints and builds complex linear/constraint programming and/or mixedinteger programming (MIP) models to achieve high factory velocity, wafer output, lower product cycletimes, and/or higher tool utilization. Architects, develops, validates, and debugs strategic software applications, algorithms/flows, and/or artificial intelligence/machine learning solutions to ensure continued advancement. Solves problems and debugs complex code and algorithms, applying knowledge of diverse programming languages such as SQL, Python, R, and/or C . Applies decomposition methods to solve large scale models, establishes processes for largescale data analyzes, model development, model validation, and model implementation. Works in coordination with IT to build data ingestion pipelines for optimal efficiency. Develops source code and troubleshoots data issues and model solutions. Works closely with the supply chain business unit to define the strategic and tactical needs of the business and technical solutions and serves as the designated point of contact and operations leader for the business units. Communicates with business stakeholders in the process of service design, training, and knowledge transfer.
