Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial HVAC Project Manager with a strong background in estimating to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing HVAC projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery, quality craftsmanship, and adherence to budgetary constraints. In addition to project management duties, this role will require proficiency in estimating HVAC projects, accurately forecasting costs, and preparing comprehensive proposals.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage commercial HVAC projects from initiation to closeout, ensuring all project objectives are met within established timelines and budget constraints.
  • Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, resource plans, and budgets, monitoring progress and adjusting as necessary to achieve project goals.
  • Conduct regular site visits to oversee work progress, address any issues or concerns, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Resolve conflicts, mitigate risks, and implement solutions to overcome project challenges, maintaining a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Utilize industry expertise and technical knowledge to accurately estimate the cost of HVAC projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services.
  • Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to develop detailed cost estimates and proposals that meet client requirements and align with company standards.
  • Collaborate with the sales team and clients to understand project scope, objectives, and budgetary constraints, providing valuable insights and recommendations to optimize project outcomes.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and pricing fluctuations to ensure competitive and cost-effective pricing strategies.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, subcontractors, and vendors, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
  • Mentor and coach junior staff members, sharing knowledge and best practices to support their professional development and growth within the organization.
  • Promote a culture of safety, quality, and excellence, emphasizing the importance of adherence to company policies, procedures, and industry standards.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the HVAC industry, with a strong background in service and maintenance of commercial and residential HVAC systems.
  • Proven experience in commercial HVAC project management, with a focus on estimating.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, equipment, materials, and installation techniques.
  • Proficiency in project management software tools, such as Microsoft Project or Primavera.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Leadership qualities with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
