The Social Media Coordinator will develop, implement, and measure Sinclair's social media marketing impact with our Marketing Department. This position is responsible for attracting and interacting with targeted virtual communities and network users, developing brand awareness and online reputation to increase customer engagement and website traffic by utilizing all aspects of social media marketing. This position needs to research and present unique information that is interesting and relevant, driving interest in Sinclair and furthering the college's outreach and influence throughout the region. Evening and weekend work is often required.
The salary range for this position is $47,307-$63,076 and is determined commensurate with experience.

Principal Accountabilities
* Develop and implement Sinclair's Social Media Strategic Plan through platform determination, benchmarking, messaging, and target audience identification
* Create, edit, and publish daily content to attract, interact, engage with users via various social media outlets, and moderate user content per established policies and procedures
* Collaborate with College departments regarding the development of relevant content for social media use to promote college programs/activities
* Develop methods to measure and report progress toward performance goals as outlined in the Social Media Strategic Plan and create monthly and yearly reports of progress
* Keep abreast of current social media trends, and best practices and make recommendations to change the strategic plan accordingly
* Collaborate with Sinclair's Public Relations department to assess the need for input and guidance on official statements and wording for sensitive posts
* Oversee and respond to social media posts in a timely manner
* Identify and define target audiences for different ad campaigns, using audience insights and data analysis to optimize performance
* Monitor, track, and analyze the performance of social media ads to make data-driven decisions and optimize campaigns for maximum reach and engagement
Requirements
* Minimum of an Bachelor's degree in marketing, communication, or related field required
* Minimum of 3 years experience in social media, marketing or related field required
* Ability to work evening and weekends as needed required
* Professional writing, editing (Photo/Video/Text), presentation and communication skills required
* Ability to communicate complicated technical details to individuals who may not have a complete understanding of the technical aspects of social media required
* Current working knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, their respective participants (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok etc.) and how each platform can be used for different circumstances required
* Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge required
* Current working knowledge of online marketing and good understanding of major marketing channels required.
* Ability to oversee and respond to social media in-boxes, comments, and inquiries in a professional and brand-appropriate manner
* Positive attitude, detail and customer oriented with good multitasking and organizational ability required
* Ability to create graphics, film and edit videos (Reels/TikToks) and basic photography skills preferred.
* Experience with social media scheduling and management tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Hootsuite)
* Proven experience in managing social media advertising campaigns required
