SCA is hiring an experienced executive leader to manage our claim operations. This position reports to our Chief Operating Officer and is responsible for driving operational excellence in claims operations, including management of adjusting and field claim operations. The VP of Claim Operations will be responsible for claim performance to service standards, in addition to both employee and network satisfaction/Net Promoter Scores (NPS). The VP will manage costs against budget and drive a culture of high accountability within the claims teams.
What You'll Be Doing:
Operations Leadership:
Auto Adjusting Division -
Build the core competence of the auto adjusting division, including staffing, production management, quality management and compliance. Build a highly motivated, managed and engaged adjuster workforce. Our 8 adjusters represent $550k in annual salary/budget.
Field Claim Operations -
Management of our Regional Supervisor Division (auto appraisal network), including network compliance, and of our Auto Material Damage Auditing Division (auto appraisal quality). Includes management of the $600k annual budgets for each division.
Management of gross profit performance.
Cost management per budget (appraiser cost, payroll cost, CCC cost).
Management of Net Promoter Score (NPS) according to established goals. Create a positive, productive, supportive work culture aligned with our core values.
People Leadership:
Drive a strong culture of engaement, accountability, and ownership in claims operations.
Handle escalations that rise above your management team.
Enure company policies and procedures are followed by each department.
Attract, retain, and motivate staff. Manage talent for succession planning.
Ensure the vision of the company's executives is communicated accurately and effectively to the managers.
Hold managers accountable by setting clearly defined goals for each department and measuring the results against the established goals. Drive regional results.
Mentor departmental managers and perform semi-annual performance reviews.
Ensure there is strong peer training and development of employees.
What You'll Need to Succeed:
Bachelor's degree preferred.
10 years of Claims Management experience plus 5 years of Franchising experience.
8 years of people leadership experience, including hiring and performance management.
Experience with CCC ONE Estimating software as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
Commitment to being reliable, responsible, dependable, and fulfilling obligations in a timely manner.
Excellent communication skills and ability to make others feel heard.
Change management skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
What You Can Expect:
Competitive compensation package of $250k - $300k On-Target Earnings (OTE)
$175k base salary performance-based bonuses of $30k quarterly target, uncapped
401k with 10% match (eligible after 1 year of service)

Including HSA or FSA eligible Medical Plans
8 paid company holidays 1 floating holiday (eligible after 90 days of employment)
64 hours of Paid Sick Leave annually
1 week of PTO in Year 1, 2 weeks in Years 2 & 3, 2.4 weeks in Years 3 & 4, and 3 weeks in Year 5
