This is a unique need with strong software testing skills that can help us evaluate and benchmark the performance of autonomous vehicle technology in a virtual environment. In other words, this role will utilize our in-house simulator to understand the autonomous vehicle characteristics with quantifiable measures. Software verification and validation allows different software modules to be tested thoroughly and systematically, and this position is to develop all of the necessary testing methods and operational pipelines. You'll have opportunities to study and evaluate multiple modules including perception, motion planning and control. The evaluation results you provided will directly impact our software development process.
Responsibilities:

• Design and build simulation test cases along with performance metrics to find module issues and benchmark the performance
• Operate different simulation pipeline such as scenario simulation and replay simulation
• Manage simulation task life cycle from configuration, execution, reporting to triage
• Maintain simulation assets with proper indexing, description and tagging
• Documenting periodic simulation reports and analysis
• Create high quality scenarios based on user requests using multiple techniques (scenario editor, bag convert, etc.)
• Test scenarios in both local environment and cloud-based platform
• Properly manage scenarios and benchmarks with corresponding simulation pipeline
• Maintain and improve existing scenarios and benchmarks upon requests

Required Skills:

• Experience in software development or testing
• Experience working with autonomous vehicle
• BS or MS in Math/Stats/Engineering or similar field

Salary Range:

• $45 - $70 an hour
