The Banquet Server will be responsible for serving food and beverage in a professional manner at assigned banquet functions.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**
* Is punctual and dressed for work at scheduled time.
* Checks in with the Banquet Manager/Captain to see what party he/she is assigned to.
* Review the BEO's for menu details, special instructions, etc. This will allow for preparation for the function; plate setting, condiments, beverages, etc.
* Assists the set up staff in table set up; buffet set up, bar set up, etc.
* Checks the quality of food before serving.
* Prepares and serves beverages for the function.
* Double checks tables in your station to ensure the proper set up.
* Maintain an "open communication" with the Kitchen staff, letting them know immediately of any changes.
* Serve the guests in a professional and efficient manner. Follow up on any reasonable requests while using proper serving techniques.
* Remove dirty dishes from the tables as guests finish their meal or course.
* Load all dirty dishes from the banquet function on a cart and breakdown at the dish line.
* Complete all sidework lists before leaving.
* Clean up after the function; sweep, mop, clean dishes from table, put everything away.
* Attend company orientation.
* Adhere to all policies and procedures.
* Provides for a safe work environment by following all safety and security procedures and rules.
* All other duties as assigned.
