Description & Requirements

Overview

As the EWM Deployment Manager, you will be responsible for crafting and driving the SAP EWM implementation plan. You will build detailed understanding of the business processes to be an effective conduit between business, development team, and 3PL end users.

You will work closely with all partners to gather requirements, prioritize features, facilitate development, conduct testing, and manage defects – ultimately supporting a successful cutover of SAP EWM in our network.

This position will require 50% travel, mainly centered around pre-go-live, cutover, and hyper-care activities. During such periods, you will work collaboratively to provide knowledge transfer (KT), conduct user acceptance testing (UAT), and run end user training (EUT). You will also collaborate with project team and business users to resolve issues quickly to minimize negative impact to business.

We strongly prefer that you have strong project management experience, collaborative attitude, and dynamic growth mindset to help us transform our warehousing operations.

Qualifications

  • 3 years of project management experience

  • Strongly prefer 3 years of subject matter expertise within one of the following focus areas: warehouse system deployment (WMS, YMS, or LMS), implementation or technical expertise of warehouse execution system (WES) or warehouse control system (WCS) – i.e. automated work release, interleaving, automated layer picking, STVs, resource allocation, dual pallet picking, etc., or have a deep understanding of one of the warehousing functional areas; inventory control, labor planning, allocation and efficiency, slotting, zoning, scheduling, etc.

  • Strong collaborative & analytical skills

  • Positive attitude toward change management, process simplification & standardization

  • Ability to challenge status quo and group thinking to offer out-of-the-box solutions

  • Experience translating business requirements into technical and functional specifications

  • Experience with IDOC and interface messaging is a bonus

  • Experience with ADO platform, user stories management preferred

  • Role will require 50% travel.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct discovery sessions to map out “as-is” and “to-be” operational requirements at targeted sites

  • Bridge gap between operational requirements and systematic functionality to construct development roadmap prior to go-live

  • Support deployment training activities including knowledge transfer (KT), user acceptance testing (UAT), and end user training (EUT)

  • Travel on-site to provide support during cutover and hyper-care periods

  • Monitor KPIs at site pre and post-go live, understand main impacts, and drive action to improve underperforming KPIs

  • Assist project lead to identify and manage gaps in network implementation roadmap

  • Provide guidance and coverage for team members to support network implementation
