Piper Clinical Solutions is seeking a Research Associate II to support a well-known research organization specializing in infectious disease research in the Rockville, MD area. The Research Associate II will be responsible for performing multi-color flow cytometry and troubleshooting immunoassays.
Responsibilities of the Research Associate II include:
* Design, generate, and characterize recombinant proteins
* Perform mammalian cell culture, transient transfections, protein expressions, protein purifications, and micro pipetting in a BSL2 & BSL3 laboratory setting
* Perform multi-color flow cytometry (up to 12 colors) and be responsible for flow cytometry panel design and troubleshooting
* Collect, analyze, and summarize data using statistical software programs
* Perform laboratory maintenance such as maintaining and calibrating equipment and ordering laboratory supplies
* Maintain detailed laboratory notebooks
* Create and revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Qualifications of the Research Associate II include:
* 4 years of flow cytometry experience (12 colors is a plus)
* Experience with flow cytometry mammalian cell culture, ELISA assays, formulations and micro pipetting
* Bachelor of Science in biological sciences and/or related field such as biology, chemistry, molecular biology, biotechnology, biochemistry, etc.
Compensation for the Research Associate includes:
* Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 *depending on relevant experience*
