Share your knowledge and expertise with students preparing for their Nursing Assistant careers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Delivery of classroom, laboratory, and clinical instruction to students.
Provides an orientation of the students to each clinical facility before beginning the clinical experience.
Ensures that each student is identified as a student in a manner easily recognizable to Clients, family members, visitors, and staff.
Plans for the classroom, laboratory, and clinical learning experiences.
Completes a skills checklist that demonstrates the satisfactory performance of all required skills for each student.
Completes and maintains student records such as attendance, test scores, etc.
Ensures that students do not perform any services for which they have not been trained and have been found proficient.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Graduation from an accredited nursing program recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or an otherwise recognized training entity (e.g., hospital-based program) in nursing or an institution outside the United States and its territories nursing. OR
Four (4) years of job-related training and experience for instructors not graduates from an accredited nursing program.
One (1) year of full-time experience (or 1500 hours) providing direct care as a registered nurse.
One of the following:
- Completion of a three (3) semester credit course on adult teaching and learning concepts offered by an accredited post-secondary educational institution;
- Completion of a 40-hour continuing education program in adult teaching and learning concepts that an accredited organization awarded continuing education credit;
- One (1) year of full-time or 1500 hours of experience teaching adults as a faculty member or clinical educator;
- One (1) year of full-time or 1500 hours of experience supervising nursing assistants and or concurrent with the one (1) year of experience.
Current license, certification, or another credential required by local, state, and federal laws to work in the nursing field.
Verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and computer skills.
