Description:The Fabrication Shop within the Emory National Primate Research Center at Emory University is currently seeking a full-time Facility Maintenance Technician to join our team located in Atlanta, GA. The Fabrication Shop team fabricates and maintains the safe operation and maintenance of primate caging and collaborates with the Operations and Maintenance Department to maintain the safe operation and maintenance of building facilities. The Fabrication Shop team designs and fabricates research devices in collaboration with laboratory scientists. The team collaborates with clinical staff to ensure optimal conditions for primate and rodent housing rooms. We are responsible for responding to customer needs and repairing equipment. We rapidly and appropriately respond to emergency events such as leaks, floods, power outages, or any other situation which could adversely affect humans, animals, and/or research at the Center. This can include responding quickly and appropriately to remote notification alarms including animal housing temperature, pressure, and humidity alarms, laboratory freezer alarms, and other space condition and equipment status alarms.
