Position: Full Time Bilingual Speech and Language Pathologist: Brookfield, CT

We are looking for a full-time bilingual Speech and Language Pathologist to join our team who is passionate about teaching and is motivated to implement high-quality services for our clients. As an SLP with PIERPOINTE you will have the opportunity to work closely with a strong clinical leadership team who champion high quality services and collaboration between Speech and ABA.

Service Hours/Location:

  • In person
  • 40 hrs weekly Monday-Friday based on client needs and scheduling.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Collaborates with family members, related service providers and other agencies, as appropriate.
  • Conducts initial and on-going speech and language assessments as relevant to the client.
  • Plans, develops and monitors language program plans for new and established clients.
  • Consults with parents and provides them with progress notes, annual reviews and training on language acquisition programs.
  • Monitors clients’ schedules to ensure insurance requirements are met and completes necessary paperwork for funding source purposes.
  • Attends monthly professional development meetings and participates in Individual Education Program (IEP) team meetings for clients, as appropriate.
  • Generates documentation necessary for the insurance reporting process
  • Develop goals in line with best practices in the field
  • Implement goals and develop programs to help each client meet their speech and language goals.
  • Evaluate client need for assistive technology and work with company administration on implementation.
  • Champion equity by ensuring that all clients receive adequate services and that information is provided to families in their language of preference.
  • Meet with the Owner and Chief Clinical Operations Officer to provide monthly progress updates on clients.

Qualifications/Education and Experience:

  • Hold a master's degree in speech and language pathology from a program accredited, at the time of the applicant's graduation, by the Educational Standards Board of the American Speech Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Hold State Licensure in good standing from the Connecticut Department of Public Health in line with their licensing requirements for Speech and Language Pathologists.
  • Hold and maintain CCC-SLP from ASHA
  • Be eligible to provide supervision to individuals accruing fieldwork hours towards their eventual certification
  • Have training and competency in implementing, assessing, and designing appropriate Assistive and Augmentative Communication technologies (AAC) interventions for learners
  • Experience and competency working with Neurodiverse populations with a wide range of language needs (both vocal and non-vocal learners)
  • Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis and open to collaboration with other Autism-service professionals (e.g. BCBAs, OTs, PTs, etc.)
  • Reliable method of transportation (required)
  • Vaccination against COVID-19
  • Bilingual (Spanish and/or Portuguese preferred in addition to English)
