We currently have an opportunity for a well-rounded and seasoned Senior Conference Services Manager to join our Pier Sixty-Six Resort opening team! Reporting into the Director of Catering & Conference Services you will assist in taking the lead in organizing all details related to group bookings and catering events from the Sales Phase to the Post-Event Phase. This includes but is not limited to managing room blocks and rooming lists and detailing food and beverage requirements. Works closely with Catering Sales, Group Sales, Revenue Management, Banquets, Finance and all Operational departments of the hotel. The position ensures the Catering & Conference Services operation meets the brands target customer needs, ensures employee satisfaction, and focuses on growing revenues and maximizing the financial performance of the department.

• Effectively and timely handles group/catering sales turnovers. Identify group guest needs and all sales opportunities.
• Ensures group rooms and banquet attrition are followed.
• Plan and conduct site inspection of upcoming programs.
• Effectively use Delphi while using existing sales standards to document all sales and services activities.
• Develop and implement own sales action plans for up-selling food and beverage as well as guest rooms to achieve personal and team financial goals.
• Assumes responsibility for the successful set-up and execution of programs.
• Provides direction and supervision of meeting and/or catering logistics to affected departments and team members.
• Provide a problem free experience for our guests while providing the highest standards of service and effective communication of the program through to ensure guests expectations are meet.
• Assist with training and development of team members to enhance performance and to meet the current and future needs of the department.
• Consistently maintains team informed of events or VIP clients in a professional and concise manner to anticipate guests needs and create guest loyalty.
• Make timely and impromptu decisions, which balance guests needs with the financial, safety and staffing goals of the hotel.
• Plan and/or attend and/or participate in meetings with hotel team members and guests, including but not exclusive to: Morning Operations Briefing, Morning CS Briefing, Resume Meeting, Banquet Event Order Meeting, Sales Meeting, Pre-Convention Meetings, Menu Tastings and Site Visits.
• Conduct performance evaluations and mentor for team members of the Catering & Conference Services Department. In addition, recommend the hiring, terminating, or disciplining of any Catering and Conference Services team member.
• Achieve/exceed established individual and departmental goals.

• Luxury Catering & Conference Services senior leadership experience required.
• Ability to work flexible shifts including nights and weekends depending on group needs.
