You are the right person for the Community Development Program Coordinator position if you are a detailed oriented person with exceptional organization skills and having the ability to deliver a great customer service. Public contact and presentation at neighborhood, or board, meetings and with other community partners is an aspect of work. Thinking critically and strategically while managing tasks and working on multiple projects throughout the workday is a priority for the person in this position. The ideal candidate for the Community Development Program Coordinator position is passionate about helping community members find housing solutions and enjoys managing a complex workflow and status processing reports. On a typical day, the Community Development Program Coordinator would support a variety of housing and CD projects. Work is detailed and require prioritization based upon deadlines. While maintaining and tracking those deadlines you will need to switch gears and work with various internal and external governmental staff to ensure program compliance with regulations, and respond to a complaints regarding programs. Other work could include reviewing a grant proposal before it is submitted, compiling a status report to present to the department director, as well as, preparing a meeting agenda for the Surry County Housing Consortium, work supporting the City of Burlington CD Division, and then end the day by offering support to intake staff.
