Description

A successful Warehouse Manager will assume, but not limit themselves, to all of the following tasks:

Prepare, complete and be physically present for storage ins & outs

Update, Organize, and Manage storage spreadsheets

Accept and Audit storage contracts for all customers

Oversee all new storage ins & outs and ensure proper documentation (inventory) is completed for all items in warehouse

Assist in training and support new employees as they are on-boarded.

Regularly Audit warehouse to ensure inventory is accurate

Keep systems up to date and active for warehouse security

Keep accurate and up to date inventory for warehouse materials and supplies

Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization

Communicate and keep open lines of communication with supervisors, direct reports and key players

Must be able to or learn how to operate and maintain forklifts and warehouse equipment

Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations

Assist with dispatching drivers and crews when necessary

Edit moving documents with crews as needed.

Deliver materials & supplies to crews when necessary

Keep yard and trucks organized

Track the trucks and fuel levels daily

Perform confirm calls to upcoming clients and customers

Requirements

Must be organized

Self motivated

Knowledge of storage systems a plus

Forklift certification a plus

Experience managing 10 people

Ability to adapt to changing technology a must

Have reliable transportation

Be enthusiastic and punctual

Have a can-do, customer service focused attitude

Have ability to lift and move all types of furniture

Have clean criminal background check (CORI)

No tolerance for smoking

Be well mannered, courteous, and eager to help
