DescriptionJOB SUMMARY
- The Ultrasound Technologist or Sonographer performs routine and interventional ultrasound exams according to department protocols under the supervision of a qualified Physician for diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases. The technologist provides direct patient care for all ages of patients. The technologist is to provide very good service; that is to treat every patient with respect, courtesy and explain the exam to the patient. The technologist must be able to work together with others providing a positive work environment. The technologist is responsible to provide a safe environment for the patients, fellow employees and themselves.
- Enrolled or graduated from an accredited Vocational / Technical Degree in Ultrasound Technology (Required)
- 0 - 1 year Ultrasound routine and interventional exams. (Preferred)
- Required Certifications/Licensures: Basic Life Support (BLS)
