Job Description
As an individual contributor (non- supervisory), in this hybrid role, you will oversee existing contracts ($75M ceiling), subcontracts, and task orders, and ~$700M pipeline to support the Federal Government Contracts and Sales teams at Philips. You will play a key role in the expansion of the Philips Federal organization and ongoing business transformation to establish enterprise-wide capabilities, partner-ready solutions, and current and future compliance requirements, through execution, delivery, and installation for commercial acquisitions by Federal customers.
Your role:
  • Primary contact for largest single award contract (subcontract), task orders, and modifications, overseeing contract requirements, collaborative relationships with prime contractors and/or Government, leading negotiations, maintaining contract and subcontract documentation, communication dissemination, and SubK Plan and/or CPARs as applicable; Work with prime(s) and subcontractor(s) to satisfy contract/task order deliverables, schedule, and specifications. These include analyzing and negotiating commercial entity terms, contract type/pricing, and compliance.
  • Check bids, awards, task orders, and amendments for legal, financial, and operational concerns; Help implement a contract management, federal contract lifecycle programs, and timecard systems to enhance visibility, eliminate manual processes, and enhance efficiency. Build good relationships with Program Manager(s), implementation team, financial team, and other internal partners to achieve contract, program, and department goals; Inform senior management and internal stakeholders of contractual, legal, and business challenges; request resources; Learn and keep contractual rights and word and clause interpretation advice.
  • Draft subcontractor RFPs, analyze proposals, negotiate terms and price, and manage and close out subcontracts; Ensure contracts and subcontracts comply with all laws and regulations by managing agreements and contracts and comprehending the FAR, legislation, and U.S. Government rules; Keep up with government contracts and identify business-impacting developments like FEDRAMP/CMMC and commercial subcontract flowdowns; Support compliance, pricing, and accounting audits, CAPAs, and other tasks as assigned.
You're the right fit if:
  • You've acquired 10 experience with Federally funded contracts and subcontracts, preferably with DHA or relative to the MHS program (required).
  • Your skills include proficiency in MS Office with strong Excel skills (required); and Salesforce and SAP (preferred); comfortable facilitating meetings, as well as creating and delivering presentations to key stakeholders.
  • You have a Bachelor's degree (required); Advanced degree (preferred).
  • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.
  • You're an excellent communicator (listening, presenting, concise verbal skills) and collaborator with strong interpersonal skills (build and maintain strong relationships). You are also a well-organized multi-tasker, skilled at working with tight deadlines, establishing priorities, using sound judgement to make decisions and find solutions, and take initiative to diffuse tense situations if needed. Must be flexible on working hours to mirror customer time zones (if needed) and be able to travel to customer locations (if needed).

Pay Transparency Details
The pay range for this position is $85,000 to $170,000. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered. Employees are eligible to participate in our comprehensive Philips Total Rewards benefits program, which includes a generous PTO, 401k (up to 7% match), HSA (with company contribution), stock purchase plan, education reimbursement and much more. At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.

Company relocation benefits will not be provided for this position. For this hybrid position, you must reside in or within commuting distance to either Cambridge, MA, Nashville, TN or Bothell, WA.
