The Scientist, Biologics Analytical Development will play a key role in driving financial efficiency and accuracy. This position requires a strong understanding of financial planning, project management, and data visualization tools. The individual will be responsible for managing capital and expense budgets, resource allocation, project oversight, and the creation of insightful dashboards and reports to inform strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities:
Handle monthly closing and reporting including the provision of accurate, timely and reliable financial information.
Develop and manage capital and expense budgets, including forecasting, scenario planning, and variance analysis.
Support the development and analysis of resource algorithms for Biologics Analytical activities to ensure optimal allocation of budget, personnel, equipment, and other resources across projects.
Analyze project actuals and ensure they are aligned with forecasted budgets.
Update project budgets during business planning cycles.
Ensure projects deliver on time and within budget, including Capital and Departmental budgets.
Use data visualization tools to build clear and concise dashboards and reports that track key performance indicators (KPIs), financial performance metrics, and project progress.
Perform in-depth data analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks related to financial performance and project execution.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Finance, Operations, Scientists, PMO) to ensure alignment and communication.
Develop and maintain financial models to support investment decisions and strategic planning initiatives.
Recommend process improvements, standardization, and stability to enhance budgeting, resource management, and project execution.
Support project management for molecules in development and commercial product activities.
Directly work with key customers and partners within DPDS, PMO, Supply Chain, and Finance.
Develop, implement, and monitor company's internal financial controls and procedures and assist in both internal and external audits.
Actively contribute as a member of the Biologics Analytical Development team in projects related to finance processes, system improvements, training, and development.
