Job Details Job Location Misenheimer Campus - Misenheimer, NC Position Type Faculty Education Level Master's Degree Travel Percentage Travel required Job Shift Day Job Category Education Description Visiting Professor of nursing to teach academic and clinical classes as needed, primarily in adult health. 2024-25 academic year Responsibilities include teaching didactic courses and supervision of students in clinical settings as well as assisting with labs and simulations as needed. The ideal candidate has a demonstrated commitment to student-centered education, scholarship, and active organizational and civic engagement. The successful candidate will teach 24-26 credit hours annually over a 9-month contract. Classes are face to face on the Misenheimer campus. Clinicals may occur in a variety of clinical agencies in Albemarle, Charlotte, Salisbury and other surrounding areas. Qualifications Master's degree in nursing required, doctoral degree preferred. Teaching experience preferred. This nursing faculty must be a registered nurse with a minimum of two years in clinical practice and hold a current unrestricted license to practice as a registered nurse in North Carolina. Faculty must meet the qualifications for faculty required by the NC Board of Nursing (www.ncbon.org) within three years of employment. Nurse Educator Certification (CNE) preferred, but all qualified applicants will be considered. Preference is given to applicants with teaching experience. Documented experience and expertise in clinical nursing area relevant to course needs. Provide evidence of license, immunizations, HIPAA, OSHA, CPR or other clinical facility requirements. Valid NC driver's license.
