Scrub Nurse Position Details

The Scrub Nurse will be responsible for scrubbing for surgical procedures, sterile processing, and ordering of surgical supplies. The Scrub Nurse:

• Is knowledgeable of all operative procedures and surgical equipment.
• Demonstrates the ability to set up and operate instruments, sutures, and equipment used in operative procedures.
• Efficiently and effectively aids the surgeon.
• Demonstrates knowledge of basic anatomy by anticipating and providing for the surgeon's needs during the case.
• Demonstrates the ability to integrate into sterile processing duties.
• Monitors the purchasing and stocking of all surgical supplies by reviewing PAR levels and the upcoming surgery schedules.
• Submits requisitions and tracks orders to ensure critical supplies are received within needed timeframe.
• Establishes and keeps supply levels current for all disposable supplies kept in the surgery department; maintains adequate inventory of instruments in working condition.
• Establishes and maintains an inventory system for all supplies and equipment inclusive of purchase dates, warranty information, serial and model numbers.

What You Offer

• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Minnesota.
• Prior surgery nursing experience and/or surgical tech experience required.

Work Schedule

• 72 hours per biweekly pay period.
• This position is primarily Monday-Friday, 6:00am-2:30pm.
• This position participates in the call schedule rotation, which includes every 4th night, every 4th weekend, and holidays.
