Position Summary

This position is responsible for ensuring safe and efficient concrete deliveries to our customers’ jobsites through onsite coordination with customer field personnel.

Responsibilities

• Minimize employee exposures to safety hazards as related to the job site delivery cycle by conducting customer focused jobsite visits
  • Determining the safest, most expedient jobsite travel routes
  • Identify, eliminate and/or highlight hazards / areas of concern
  • Review of truck washout areas for adequate drainage, walking surface, tracking pad and lighting
• Enhance customer satisfaction through the following
• Efficient delivery cycle times
• Timely communication
• Reduce exposure to quality related matters
• Maximize delivery efficiencies through customer focused coordination of site related events
  • Anticipated relocation of concrete placement pump
  • Areas of congestion / delay during slab placement
  • Communicating with Central Dispatch in an efficient manner the customer’s unload rate, agreed upon “hold” volumes and/or order back yardage
• Maintain a professional customer centric focus jobsite in an effort personnel to improve service and satisfaction as related to safety, job site service and product quality
• Exercise good judgment and communication regarding work site access, unloading cycles along with travel routes to and from work site
• Maintain good customer relations. Act in a professional, courteous manner. Maintain a professional appearance
• Ability to review concrete delivery tickets for completeness in essential information related to product quality and liability concerns
• Facilitate, organize and actively participate in all in-house safety meetings
• Exercise good judgment in identifying and evaluating ready mix personnel
• Lead by example

Preferred Competencies, Education and Experience

• Minimum High School Diploma with strong math skills
• Ability to read, write and communicate clearly and effectively with peers, customers, and/or representative from governmental agencies
• 3 – 5 years of experience in the concrete industry is preferred
• ACI Field Testing Level I Certification preferred, If not already, required to obtain within the first six months
• Demonstrate initiative with positive attitude
