Maxar is seeking a Systems Engineer with security clearance to contribute to a High-Performance Computing (HPC) environment, collaborating in a dynamic team to support, sustain, and drive growth. As a Systems Engineer, play a pivotal role in installing, configuring, and sustaining Linux operating systems, and contribute to the development of high-performing Graphics Processing Units (GPUs) within a dynamic Linux-heavy ecosystem. The Systems Engineer will: * Install, configure, and sustain Linux operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
* Assist in the design and provisioning of the enterprise network environment. * Prepare and deliver both program and user level documentation for system operations.
* Provide technical systems support for project activities.
* Monitor for performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
* Interact with members of the technical team leads.
* Understand the current system, subsystems, and component specifications and be able to use experience to recommend changes to facilitate efficient and effective development.
* Communicate and share expertise within and across the client's organizational boundaries.
* Work both independently and in small groups Minimum Qualifications: * Active TS/SCI with ability to obtain a CI polygraph.
* Bachelor's degree in network engineering, information systems, computer engineering, or related technical field. Relevant professional experience can substitute in lieu of degree. * 5 years' experience in the following technical areas:
* System Administration or systems engineering in a Linux-heavy environment.
* Experience supporting DevOps Infrastructure
* Experience in the build, operations, and sustainment of LAN/WAN networks
* Experience Implementing DOD Cyber Security requirements.
* Experience with physical compute and networking hardware
* Demonstrated experience troubleshooting and evaluating alternatives to solve complex problems. Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidate's unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience. The range for this position is: $127,000.00 - $213,000.00 annually.
