Responsibilities Peraton is seeking a seasons Software Engineer to join our Cyber Intel team here in Laurel, MD. The Software Engineer will work, within the Compute Team, with a massively parallel enterprise platform, built with Java on Free and Open-Source Software products including Kubernetes, Hadoop and Accumulo, to enable execution of data-intensive analytics on a managed infrastructure. Peraton is seeking a self-motivated Java developer who proactively completes tasks with a strong attention to detail. The candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team and will be exposed to a variety of technologies depending on customer requirements. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: * An active TS/SCI security clearnace with polygraph is required.
* Fourteen (14) years experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required
* Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree
* Minimally, the candidate should be skilled in Java, database technologies (MySQL Postgres etc) and have some experience with Map Reduce programming model and technologies (such as Hadoop, Hive, Pig, etc)
* Possess additional knowledge of Linux OS development, Docker, Kubernetes, Python, and Ansible Preferred Qualifications * Familiarity with microservices software development technique and container-orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes)

Target Salary Range $112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
