A Typical Day:

The Senior Regulatory Compliance Analyst , working under general supervision, performs assessment and auditing functions in accordance with the Companys Mortgage Compliance Program to ensure Pennymac is complying with various mortgage-related federal and state regulations.

The Senior Regulatory Compliance Analyst will:

  • Gather, investigate, and review requested information and conduct additional research and/or testing as necessary, including targeted reviews. Ensure audits are performed in a timely manner in accordance with established procedures and agency, federal and state guidelines.
  • Analyze data elements within excel related to specific servicing function to identify potential exceptions/gaps
  • Coordinate and prepare for agency, investor and state exams, and CFPB origination and servicing requirements
  • Collaborate with designated business unit compliance managers, Legal and ERM to ensure all critical requirements are analyzed and gaps remediated
  • Support all key mortgage compliance activities, such as required reporting/certifications (Fair Lending/HMDA, HAMP), corporate training, and real-time support to business units on compliance matters
  • Perform risk assessments and develop project plans to support exam activities
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned
  • Demonstrate behaviors which are aligned with the organizations desired culture and values
What Youll Bring:
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Technical proficiency in regulatory compliance matters and regulations
  • Must be highly proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Must be a team player with strong attention to detail, able to work independently and prioritize workload
  • Proven track record at delivering timely and accurate information in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, mathematical skills and sound judgment
  • Financial Services and, if possible, mortgage industry experience preferred

Compensation: Individual salary may vary based on multiple factors including specific role, geographic location / market data, and skills and experience as defined below:

  • Lower in range - Building skills and experience in the role
  • Mid-range - Experience and skills align with proficiency in the role
  • Higher in range - Experience and skills add value above typical requirements of the role

Some roles may be eligible for performance-based compensation and/or stock-based incentives awarded to employees based on company and individual performance.
