CareerBuilder is Hiring a Vice President, Communications Strategy and Planning Near Orlando, FL

The VP Comms Planning leads the integration of strategy, content, and media to ultimately help deliver incredible experiences for our fans and drive growth for the business. This is a strategic marketing leadership role that is responsible for developing/aligning clear commercially driven strategy, compelling content and consistent execution of plans based on business objectives. This person will work with key business stakeholders in each destination (primarily Orlando and Hollywood) to understand business insights and partner with cross functional stakeholders to drive performance via delivery of the right content to the right audience through the right channel at the right time.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
STRATEGIC COMMS PLANNING AND CROSS-FUNCTIONAL INTEGRATION LEADERSHIP
Partner with content, media, destination, channel teams (and others) to lead coordination and integration of clear, insight driven strategic approach (right audience, right place, right context), compelling content (right message) and consistent brand execution (tone, VISID, etc.) to deliver against business goals.
Partner closely with the insights team and others to gather data & synthesize insights that enhance our understanding of the guest journey, attitudes, and behaviors (i.e., how do guests feel about the brand, when do they make their decisions, and what drives them to make those decisions).
Use knowledge of guest journey, attitudes, and behaviors to map key existing and new touchpoints; optimize content, leverage media tactics against these touchpoints to change guest attitudes (e.g., improved brand perception) and drive desired behavior (e.g., visits to parks, website, etc.).
Anticipate business needs and proactively suggest and/or implement changes to the plans.
PROCESS IMPROVEMENT AND AGENCY PROJECT MANAGEMENT TEAM LEADERSHIP
Identify opportunities to improve and enhance the way individual teams within IMC (creative, media and comms planning) work together to deliver on business objectives, including forums and communications to drive cross functional collaboration, stakeholder input and leadership approval.
Lead project management team and strategy to ensure optimized efficiency and impactful workflow management and reporting / communication between teams.
TEAM LEADERSHIP AND DEVELOPMENT
Build a high-performing team to achieve and exceed goals and objectives.
Inspire, supervise and mentor direct reports and team members in day-to-day management of work.

Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
Bachelors degree from an accredited four-year college or university is required. Advanced degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
12 years in marketing / brand management is required, with emphasis on strategic comms planning, campaign development, digital marketing, media / connections planning, project management, and cross functional team leadership.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Experience with program/project management software/tools desired.
