PeaceHealth is seeking multiple RN positions in our Emergency Department for a part time, and full-time day, evening, and night positions with 8 hour or 12 hour shifts. The general salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $41.39 hr. – $65.60 hr. The actual hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to, the job/position responsibilities, location, terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement, education, training, work experience, seniority, work performance, etc.

Provides professional nursing direct patient care in compliance with professional practice and unit standards. Promotes a collaborative, interdisciplinary approach towards patients, families and all members of the care delivery team.

Details of the Position:

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care needs.
• Documents patient care in the healthcare record according to established standards.
• Directs and delegates care to other team members in accordance with their education, credentials, and demonstrated competence.
• Ensures own professional effectiveness through education and professional development.
• Participates in the development of and maintains established hospital policies, procedures and objectives, quality improvement, safety, environmental and infection prevention program.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Care of patient requiring reversal of anticoagulants, administration and monitoring of tPA seizure management and emergent EVD.
• Management of blood pressure abnormalities with parenteral vasoactive agents

What you Bring:

• Completion of an accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred.
• Minimum one year of Emergency dept. experience is required and must be recent ED experience (within the past 5 years).
• ED experience in like sized and like-census ED; Trauma level 2 or greater; experience at a Magnet or Academic hospital; experience with a shared governance model; hospital accredited and certified by DNV or TJC is preferred.
• Registered Nurse in Oregon State required upon hire/transfer.
• BLS is required upon hire/transfer.
• Required ACLS within six months of hire or transfer date.
• Required TNCC within 12 months of hire or transfer date
• Required PALS within 12 months of hire or transfer date or NIHSS within six months of hire or transfer date.
