General Summary of Position Perform chemical, fluorimetric, enzymatic, fluorescence polarization and fluorimetric enzyme assays on blood,body fluids and exudates to provide timely, accurate and informative results. Studies morphology ofconstituents of blood to obtain data and for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Apply appropriate procedural techniques related to specimen procurement and handling, instrument operation,operator maintenance, application of universal precautions and inventory monitoring.

Perform and document quality control procedures and proficiency testing in accordance with establishedparameters and standards.

Accurately enter assay results into client reports

Resolve validity issues and amend reports.

Provide phlebotomy and other specimen collection.

Minimum Qualifications
Education

• Bachelor's degreein a relevant field.required

Experience

• 1-2 years Two years previous Medical Technologist experience in comparable clinical laboratory setting requiredand
• 1-2 years Two year experience with chemistry, hematology, blood bank and micro set-up experience preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• Health Educ & Welfare (lab) - HEW ASCP, HEWpreferred

• Ability to read, write and speak or communicate in English to successfully accomplish the essentialduties of the position.
