Place of Grace is Hiring a Men's Residential Recovery Program Director Near Huntington, IN

Place of Grace envisions a Christ-centered community that empowers persons with Substance Use Disorder to become responsible citizens with hope and purpose for their future. Our mission is to provide a faith-based residential recovery services to help persons break cycles of destructive behavior related to addiction, trauma, and poverty.

Men’s Program Director

The Program Director will work directly under the Executive Director and in coordination with the Recovery Coach and House Manager to ensure the residents served are receiving effective, Christ-centered programming and services.

● Ensure sufficient support for residents and volunteers.

o Oversee and implement the monthly program schedule.

o Facilitate groups and other programming in coordination with the Recovery Coach.

o Ensure residents are developing and achieving short- and long-term goals by overseeing the provision of evidence-based case management.

o Ensure residents develop and maintain a personal Relapse Prevention Plan.

o Ensure clients’ needs are addressed (e.g. medical, clothing, food, etc.) and make referrals as needed to other services.

o Stay up to date and informed about services and opportunities available in our community and connect residents with these resources to help them successfully transition back into the community.

o Ensure residents have effective peer recovery support.

o Coordinate with mentors and facilitate meetings between mentors and residents.

● Oversee aftercare support to Place of Grace graduates.

o Coordinate with Recovery Coach to ensure that regular support, communication, and crisis intervention is available to graduates.

o Assist with planning gatherings/events on at least a quarterly basis for graduates to assist graduates with maintaining meaningful, supportive connections.

o Maintain an updated contact list for graduates and provide a monthly report to the Executive Director on graduate status.

Provide a safe and healthy environment for staff, residents, and volunteers.

o Manage resident intakes and provide an overall orientation to services in coordination with the Recovery Coach.

o Plan and execute pro-social activities for residents and graduates.

o Collaborate with the Executive Director to make changes to Resident Handbook as necessary.

o Practice accountability and ensure residents of the program are following House Expectations.

o Facilitate house meetings in coordination with the Recovery Coach.

o Administer substance screens as needed and treat results therapeutically.

o Respect resident confidentiality.

o Be sensitive to cultural diversity and respectful of residents.

o Maintain resident files in coordination with the Director of Operations.

o Report to Executive Director about illegal or unsafe activity that takes place in the home.

Communicate with the public and agencies that serve common clientele.

o Handle communication with individuals calling to inquire about services.

o Assure that releases of information are signed for all agencies involved with each client.

o Communicate regularly with agencies involved with each client.

o Obtain Recovery Works referrals for qualifying residents.

o Complete monthly reports, final reports, and termination reports for residents and provide them to other agencies as necessary.

● Provide support and supervision to Men’s Residential Recovery Program staff.

o Fill shifts in house as necessary and participate in weekend on-call rotation.

o Manage schedule to ensure adequate staffing of the program.

o Provide regular supervision to House Manager and Recovery Coach.

o Provide on-going trainings and consistent communication to all staff.

o Participate in weekly Administrative Staff team meetings and distribute pertinent information to Men’s Residential Recovery Program staff.

● Additional duties as assigned by the Executive Director.

Minimum requirements include: Bachelor’s Degree and at least 2 years experience in substance use field, including experience in residential recovery services. Preferred requirements include: College degree in social work, psychology, sociology or related field. 4 years of experience in the mental health/substance use field and 2 years of supervisory experience. Must have a current driver’s license, access to a vehicle and personal automobile insurance.

● Must be a professing Christian who is mature in their faith, while also being open to spiritual growth.

● Must have strong administrative and leadership skills and be able to work effectively without direct supervision.

● Must be a humble individual who is willing to put the success of the team before their own.

● Must be a passionate and energetic individual who is willing to take on new challenges.

● Must work well with others, even in difficult situations and with a diverse group of people.

● Must be willing to be vulnerable with their teammates and encourage an environment of trust.

● Must be willing to take appropriate risks and learn from failure. Must be willing to give grace to others when they fail.

● Must be willing to increase their knowledge of addictions, incarceration, and services available in the community.

● Must represent the organization well in their personal and professional life, including through social media.

● Must reflect personal integrity in attitude and behavior towards clients, volunteers, and others.

● Must be sensitive to cultural diversity of residents.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $38,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 30 per week
