Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking a Manual Machine Operator for a company located in Clackamas, Oregon.

• You will be working on lathes and milling machinery

• Mechanical aptitude necessary for basic repairs throughout the shop when needed

• Reading measuring instruments and basic math are required.

BASIC Responsibilities:

• Read & understand order instructions and prints.

• Trim, tool and/or grind customer goods according to design specifications

• Inspect finished work and compare to design specifications

• Follow all safety guidelines including wearing all prescribed protective equipment

DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Run Lathes, Knee Mills, Band saw, and hand tools

• Read measuring instruments down to .0001

• Set up and run jobs assigned by supervisor

• Read and interpret drawings and prints

• Take instruction on or assist in repairs and maintenance around the plant

• Drive forklift after being certified

• If you can weld, everyone will be very excited...if you can't weld, everyone will still appreciate you showing up for work.

• Show up for work on time

Qualifications:

• Ability to follow detailed instructions

• Able to use various measuring devices including micrometers, pi tape, & calipers

• Operate manual lathe / manual milling machinery

• Able to cut rubber with scissors or knives.

• Ability to make minor adjustments to machine settings without supervision

• Ability to lift 50 lbs. waist level and work in under noisy & dirty conditions.

Shift:

• Monday - Thursday

• Day shift
