As a Direct Support Specialist (also known as Residential Support Worker, Care Support Specialist), you'll be responsible for training and implementing objectives in areas such as self-help, academics, recreation/leisure, hygiene, and other life skills. Your role will be crucial in preparing residents to live more independently. Key duties include assisting residents with hygiene, meal preparation, shopping, transportation, and ensuring residents are supported through opportunities to learn and develop new skills.
