Essential Functions

• Packages outgoing goods per customer or company specifications and per carrier's requirements to ensure the safe arrival of goods to their destination.
• Prepares shipping documents, including International forms and commercial invoices.
• Ensures that the items being shipped match the shipper. Serves as a last check prior to shipping.
• Loads trucks safely and in a manner that will prevent damage to goods barring any unforeseen event.
• Create shippers and labels for shipments using Fed-Ex and arranges pickup of outgoing materials.
• Schedules and coordinate freight carriers for shipments.
• Ensures proper insurance requirements are in place for shipments.
• Works with the project managers to ensure all paperwork is complete and accurate.
• Works with the purchasing department to coordinate material returns (RMA’s).
• Ensures that material is received accurately and is of the correct quantity and quality as required by Caid standards. Creates record of receipt in ERP system and turns in all associated paperwork to the purchasing department.
• Reports vendor shipment issues to purchasing. Logs the issue for future reference so that repeatable nonperformance issues can be brought to the attention of the vendor and our purchasing agents.
• Reports cases of overbought stock or job materials so that it can be properly dispositioned.
• Ensures that trucks are unloaded in a timely and safe manner and that incoming material is immediately placed in the correct location to avoid double handling.
• Ensures that all incoming goods are kitted accurately, per quality processes and procedures.
• Ensures that adequate quantities of packaging materials are on hand and works with purchasing to obtain more as needed.
• Ensures all critical parts (noted by engineering) are inspected per drawing and are accurate. Make sure all Non-Conforming Materials (NCR’s) are tagged, logged, and communicated to the Manufacturing Manager and the engineer of record. Proper disposition of these items may include purchasing.
• Inspects all incoming fabricated parts to be burr free (prior to coating) and coated per the drawing and CAID standards.
• Pick-up/drop-off materials as needed.
• Willing to perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
• Maintains the confidentiality of customer and CAID proprietary information.
• Continually develop computer knowledge to improve efficiency, particularly software programs such as ERP systems and MS Office products.
• Keeps up to date on latest continuous improvement and inventory strategies.
• Work with the Manager to be a positive motivating force within the team
• Serve as a member of employee committees
• Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the Samuel Son & Co. Code of Business Conduct
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Adhere to all health and safety rules and procedures

Minimum Qualifications

• 3 years’ shipping and receiving experience or other inventory/control stocking experience
• Arizona driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Must be able to stand/walk on concrete for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs.
• Must be willing and able to driving fork trucks or learn how to drive forklifts

Working conditions
Manufacturing environment: May be exposed to loud noises, changing temperatures, machinery with moving parts, and exotic materials.
Equipment/machinery used
Company vehicles, fork truck, and pallet-jack.
Physical requirements
Typing, sitting, standing, kneeling, reaching, pulling, lifting up to 30lbs regularly and 50lbs occasionally.
