This position is primarily responsible for assisting patients improve and maintain their oral health by performing perio maintenances, scaling and root planing, and educating patients.

Then, this is the place for you! MN Periodontal Associates is seeking a dental hygienist to help provide quality care to our patients. Building relationships with our patients is very important to us.

Hours are 8-5 Mondays-Thursdays. No weekends or night hours! One location!

Candidates must be highly motivated, detail-oriented, outgoing and friendly. Candidates must also demonstrate ability to work in a fast-paced environment while providing quality care to our patients.

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Review patient schedule and correlating charts one day prior to ensure readiness for treatment.
  • Obtains and records medical and dental histories and vital signs of the patient and communicates this information to the doctor.
  • Obtains dental radiographs on patients and reports findings to the doctor.
  • Provide a high level of patient experience through communicating comfort options, patient education, and treatment expectations.
  • Maintains clinical notes for patients documenting pertinent information in the patient charts.
  • Make periodontal chart entries.
  • Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and procedures.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality per HIPAA.
  • Perform Perio maintenance and scaling and root planing procedures proficiently.
  • Identify pertinent clinical findings and report to overseeing periodontist.
  • Complete communication report for each patient for referring offices.
  • Assist in scheduling patients' next hygiene appointment at the end of each appointment.
  • Assist with daily office cleaning responsibilities.
  • Promote supportive atmosphere with team members.

Salary: From $50.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shifts (Monday 8-4:30pm, Tuesday-Thursday 8-5pm )

Education:

  • Associate (Required)

Experience:

  • Dental office experience: 1 year (Preferred)

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION:

Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Dental Hygiene required

EXPERIENCE:

Dental Assistant experience

Knowledge of dental practice and procedures preferred

Knowledge of dental radiographs

Knowledge of dental software programs
