The Position:

The Contracts Administrator is responsible for drafting, negotiating, reviewing, maintaining, and managing agreements, including but not limited to: assessing the need for confidentiality agreements, various licensing agreements, and loan/bailment agreements. The person will ensure completion of agreements related to vendor relations, assess legal risk and recommend mitigation measures and work with other departments to ensure protection of trade secrets. Furthermore, the Contracts Administrator will provide briefings and procedural recommendations to his/her manager and other departments as needed.

  • Agreements
    • Gather all necessary data/information to process the referenced agreements. Research related legal issues and determine the appropriate contractual language to meet company's needs.
    • Review and discuss legal and business issues with internal customers and his/her manager. Draft, negotiate, and review agreements through completion.
  • Trade Secrets Protection
    • Support his/her manager in negotiation and execution of non-disclosure agreements, equipment loan/bailment agreements and digital media content license agreements.
    • Brief his/her manager on any issues with potential impact on company revenue, risk of IP asset loss, and any cross-functional impact.
  • Legal Risk Mitigation
    • Support his/her manager in tactical execution of legal risk mitigation objectives by ensuring legal compliance with the policies related to risk mitigation, data privacy, and intellectual property and trade secret protection.
    • Develop, revise, and implement relevant policies and procedures as necessary.
  • Communications
    • Provide information to support his/her manager and various functional groups, facilitate company business, and protect company assets.
  • Compliance/Other
    • Work in conjunction with Legal Compliance as needed and assist with planning, implementing and monitoring the Corporate Compliance Program.
    • Offer support to the Legal team as needed.

The salary range of $59,000 – $99,000 is just one component of Panasonic’s total package. The final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives. The minimum hourly wage for this role will be the greater of the posted range, or minimum wage for the location where the employee will be working, subject to local minimum wage requirements.
What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelors degree
  • 5 years experience in Legal/Contracts management environment
  • Paralegal certification preferred, but will consider equivalent combination of experience and/or education
  • Notary public preferred, but not required
  • Ability to interface with all levels within organization and provide input to facilitate decisions
  • Analytical skills and ability to formulate and articulate recommendations
  • Ability to independently draft, review and negotiate legal documents
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in fast changing environment
  • Highly organized, self-motivated and accountable
  • Familiarity with issues relevant to business registrations preferred
  • Experience with docketing and litigation holds preferred, but not required
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with multicultural environment to ensure sensitivity to both internal and external customers
  • Expert skill level in using Microsoft Office and similar scheduling applications
  • Will be expected to learn quickly and effectively handle tasks that require initiative and sound judgment
