Palace Entertainment is Hiring a Sea Life Park Retail Manager Near Waimānalo, HI

  • Essential Duties:
  • Plans, organizes, directs, and control the consistency of the Point of Sale (P.O.S.) operations, physical inventory, and incentive programs.
  • Co-creates retail business and financial plans.
  • Sets the standards and guidelines to achieve and exceed objectives set forth in those plans.
  • Implements and develops action steps for monthly sales goals and incentives to ensures revenue and expense objectives are met; ensure batch balancing, cash handling, deposits and change banks are reconciled according to established company procedures.
  • Sets, monitors, and coaches individual staff member to achieve their individual sales goals.
  • Encourages excellent customer service.
  • Provides training to improve skills, productivity, and motivation of retail personnel.
  • Conducts performance appraisals and maintains positive employee relations.
  • Interviews and hires new employees.
  • Directs and ensures implementation of all related marketing promotions.
  • Maintains a safe environment for guests and staff; ensures clean and comfortable store and maintenance of related facilities.
  • Provides accurate and timely reports to the General Manager of Sea Life Park by Dolphin Discovery, maintains direct communication with company peers and other management members through meetings and company network.
  • Take inventory.
  • Comply with Sea Life Park's written policies. Other Duties:• Performs other duties and takes on responsibilities as required by the Director of In Park Revenue of Sea Life Park.Working Conditions: Indoors in an air conditioned work environment; occasional exposure to outdoor climate.Working Hours: Full-time - equivalent to a minimum of forty hours per week, ability to be flexible, to work different/additional hours/days to meet the business needs, including evening work.

Position Title: Retail ManagerEquipment Use: Point of Sale (P.O.S.) register, various software systems and standard store and office equipment.Mental and Physical Demands: Duties require the use of initiative, inquiry, judgment, problem solving, Organization and working with minimal direction. Requires working to meet deadlines and effectively deal with situations as well as manage multiple priorities. Establish and maintain cooperative and productive work relationships. Requires travel to local trade shows. Position also requires occasional lifting of retail merchandise or other items weighing up to 20 pounds without assistance. Need to be able to bend and kneel to lower storage areas, as well as to walk and stand for long periods of time.

Communication Demands: Requires communicating effectively both verbally and in writing; giving Instructions or directives to others and seeking information from a variety of sources.
