Prince's Paisley Park in Chanhassen, MN, seeks a skilled and responsible Production Associate. As a member of the Production Department, this position performs a variety of general production and maintenance duties which include producing events including sound, lighting, and stage set up, as well as overall exhibit and display fabrications.
Paisley Park is an active museum, state-of-the-art recording studio, and concert venue. For nearly 30 years, the facility served as Prince's home, creative sanctuary, and production complex. Fulfilling Prince's vision that Paisley Park would one day be open to the public, the venue today welcomes fans, musicians, and audiophiles for tours, concerts, festivals, and special events.

Responsibilities

• Help plan, execute and assist in the production of events
• Perform stage set-ups and help with the removal of larger artifacts in event spaces
• Work alongside and assist other production companies for some events
• Work with catering and event planners to make sure their needs are met
• Work with Paisley Park staff to ensure their needs are met
• Fabrication of new and previously existing exhibits and artifact displays
• Moving, loading, unloading, and storing supplies, furniture, and equipment
• Organization of off-site warehouse space
• Job-related errands, which may include various shops, supply pick-ups
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years experience working events
• Sound and lighting experience is helpful
• Ability to work well with your hands
• Restoration, carpentry, painting and building experience
• Ability to deal with repetitious work environments and procedures
• Excellent attention to detail
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows software is helpful
• Ability to be flexible with various projects
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to perceive and deal with sensitive issues and maintain confidentiality
• Must work well individually as well as with a team
• Must be able to work under pressure of deadlines and competing needs
• Forklift experience and/or certification is helpful
• Must have a Driver's License and own a vehicle
• Must have a clean driving record to operate company vehicle
• Must be able to lift at least 50 - 75 lbs.
• Must be comfortable standing or walking for long periods of time
• Ability to climb ladders and work safely in high places
• Ability to work in confined spaces when working in hard to reach areas
• Be comfortable in a physically labor intensive environment
• Ability to work in all types of weather conditions
• Ability to pass a 4 panel drug test (does not include THC) and background check

Hours
Monday - Friday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM working hours to include some weekends, evenings, holidays, and overtime as required based on the event schedule. Mandatory staffing for the Celebration event falling in June.
Note: As Prince was a pescatarian, Paisley Park is a pescatarian food environment. Eggs, fish, and cheese are fine; beef, pork, chicken, and other meats can be eaten in your car, or you may take meals off-site.
