What You'll Do
  • Project team leadership and discipline project management, complete the project on time and within budget
  • Hold responsibility for the preparation of deliverable documents including narratives, calculations, drawings and specifications
  • Develop client relationships, attend client meetings, lead the coordination effort between external and internal project teams
  • Independently evaluate and apply design judgment, techniques, and procedures to complete a project from concepts through construction
  • Utilize your understanding of interdisciplinary coordination and extensive knowledge of technology design systems as well as the application of building codes and technology industry standards
  • Write specifications; provide updates to master specifications and standards, and improve company processes
  • Assemble effective project teams
  • Perform site visits and issue reports; oversee calculations and equipment selection
  • Prepare and review opinions of probable construction costs
  • Provide training, guidance and development for staff
  • Participate on firm leadership committees
  • Oversee the application of the project quality management plan (QMP)
  • May be responsible as the Designer of Record (DOR)
  • Serve as a technical resource for the company

What You Bring
  • College degree or equivalent work experience
  • CTS, RCDD, PSP, preferred
  • Minimum of 2-4 years Lead Technology Designer, or 5-10 years' related work experience
  • Advanced understanding of technology design concepts and ability to effectively communicate design options to a diverse stakeholder group
  • Extensive knowledge of converged infrastructure and ability to lead the design of telecom, audiovisual, security, healthcare and other technology systems
  • Knowledge and application of NEC and relevant building and energy codes
  • Thorough understanding of AutoCAD/Revit, Microsoft Office Suite
  • Thorough understanding of project phases and their associated deliverables
  • Strong delegation skills
  • Proactive and effective communication abilities
  • Attention to detail and advanced organizational skills
What We Offer
  • Hiring Base Salary Range: $100,000-$133,600 annual
    • This position is eligible for straight overtime pay
The base salary is one component of PAE's competitive compensation package for employees. We take into consideration a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, internal equity and geographic location in determining exact salary offered. At PAE, roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases and annual bonuses based on individual performance. The above range represents PAE's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
