Nextant is looking for a driven Technical Writer 5 to join our client team. The main function of a Technical Writer is to write technical materials, such as equipment materials, appendices, or operating and maintenance instructions. A typical technical writer is responsible for organizing, editing and maintaining technical records and files.

Job Responsibilities:

• Organize material and complete writing assignment according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style and terminology
• Maintain records and files of work and revisions
• Confer with client to establish technical specifications and to determine subject material to be developed for publication

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science or English, journalism, communications
• 10 years experience required
• Minimum 10 years experience with Technical Writing.
• Minimum 8 years experience with GitHub/Markdown.
• Minimum 5 years experience with Coding (preferably with C# and .NET or .NET Core web apps).
• Previous experience working with cloud products.
• Experience in in creating documentation for a technical audience
• Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills
• Ability to read some programming code
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Pay Rate:

The annual salary range for this position is 135,000.00 - $149,000.00 in Washington State. Please note that the salary range is a general guideline. Nextant considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills, and other market and business considerations when extending an offer.
