Requisition Summary

Join the PACCAR Global Quality team as a Product Manager II, where your role will be central to advancing product reliability through the application of continuous improvements, advanced analytics, and cloud-based solutions. This role requires reimagining the status quo, finding value creation opportunities, and driving innovative and sustainable customer experiences through technology. The Product Manager represents the interests of our product stakeholders before, during, and after product development. They excel in communication, effortlessly translating complex technical details into easily understandable summaries and project updates. Their expertise lies in distilling intricate business problems into actionable items, shaping them into a Minimum Viable Product (MVP), and effectively prioritizing tasks for the technical team. In addition, they are constantly on the lookout for fresh opportunities to enhance the impact of Advanced Analytics on our internal stakeholders and PACCAR customers. A successful Product Manager is characterized by their unwavering integrity, thoughtful approach to product strategy, and exceptional execution skills.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Acts as the primary liaison between stakeholders and the product development team, including Data Scientists and Data Engineers
  • Defines and communicates product vision and strategy to all relevant stakeholders
  • Champions the adoption of Agile methodologies and a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
  • Serves as Scrum Master, facilitating sprint planning, removing obstacles, and supporting the team in achieving their goals
  • Strategizes and manages the product roadmap, prioritizing the backlog based on business value and technical feasibility
  • Tracks and reports the product development progress, using metrics to inform decision-making and manage stakeholder expectations
  • Stays informed of new trends in data science, data engineering, and Agile practices to keep the team at the forefront of industry advancements
  • Utilizes effective strategies to foster collaboration, enhance predictability, and promote transparency within the team, all while cultivating a culture of experimentation and innovation
  • Travels to PACCAR's Divisions locations in support of the above activities

Qualifications & Skills

Required

  • 2 years of data analytics and 5 years of experience in engineering, product managementor related field
  • Experience working with highly technical teams,and communicating to non-technical partners and senior leadership
  • Strong leadership abilities to guide and inspire cross-functional teams, clearly communicateinsights, dataand results to a spectrum of audiences across PACCAR
  • Technical proficiency with database technologies and data analysis tools
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, strong interpersonal skills and ability to work seamlessly with a team of diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining sharp attention to detail
  • Bachelor's degree in math, statistics, finance, engineering, data analytics economics or related field

Preferred

  • Experience as a Product Manager in data product management
  • Proficient in Agile methodologies and management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) andcertified Scrum Master
  • Strong understanding of the interplay between data science, data engineering, and business needs
  • Proven track record of managing product backlogs and delivering product initiatives to market
  • Master's degree in computer science, Data Analytics, or Business Administration preferred
