Patient Service Specialist

Overall Purpose:

The Patient Service Specialist is responsible for corresponding with patients, maintaining the organization of our office, and ensuring that our environment is welcoming, calm, and quiet for our patients and their families. We are seeking a friendly, compassionate, and organized medical receptionist to join our growing healthcare team. In this role, you will work at the front desk of our medical office and provide assistance to our patients and other visitors.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma/GED required
  • 1 years’ experience in healthcare related field
  • Familiarity with Athena or Cerner a plus
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Friendly and compassionate disposition
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks based on importance
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Dedication to maintaining confidentiality of all patient records
  • Knowledge of medical terminology a plus

Preferred Bi-Lingual: Spanish Speaking
