Summary of Duties: Receive and disburse money in establishments other than financial institutions. Usually involves use of electronic scanners, cash registers, or related equipment. Often involved in processing credit or debit card transactions and validating checks.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Knowledgeable of selling techniques and service delivery for non-alcoholic beverages and items on the menu
• Take and place orders
• Garnish food and drinks efficiently and accurately in work area as applicable
• Collect money, while following all proper cash handling and comp procedures
• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and the appearance of the front and back of house area, clear tables and counters; sweep and maintain the cleanliness of the dining area without interfering with the comfort of guests
• Pack and complete order as per guests’ preference with necessary condiments
• Perform opening and closing duties based upon shift assignment
• Resolve guest complaints within scope of authority; otherwise, refer the matter to management, notify supervisor and/or Security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft
• Perform other job-related duties as requested

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays

Preferred:

• Bilingual a plus
• Two (2) years of experience as a food handler in a similar environment
• Experience working in a similar resort setting

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of menu items, including mixing and serving beverages, standard beverage recipes, preparation methods, glassware, garnishes, products, menu items, supplies and equipment
• Knowledge of standard kitchen equipment, including, but not limited to toasters, refrigerators, and coolers, slicers and beverage machines
• Knowledge of health, safety and sanitation regulations
• Basic computer skills and experience with varied Point of Sale (POS) systems
• Excellent customer service skills as well as interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts

License Requirement:

• Food Handler's Card
• Alcohol Awareness
• Non-Gaming Card

Machinery or Work Equipment Used:

Beverage equipment, carts, broom and butler, bus cart
