Our busy medical practice is looking to add a Medical Receptionist to their growing team. This is a great opportunity to join one of the top healthcare networks throughout Rhode Island, Connecticut and New York.

This is an on-site position- Tuesday & Friday in Fairfield, and Monday & Thursday in Trumbull

Hours : Mon, Tues, Thurs & Fri; 8 : 15am - 4 : 30pm (32 hrs / week)

Job Description :

• Candidates will be required to check in patients and check out patients in a busy practice.
• Handle a high volume of phone calls in order to schedule appointments, reschedule appointments, and verify insurance.
• Assist with scheduling follow up appointments imaging, lab work, etc
• Enter patient demographics into electronic medical records software
• Collect co-payments and close out the cash drawer at the end of the day.
• Complete insurance verifications
• Work with patient medical charts
• Must be very patient-centered! 20 patients come through the office per day

Experience :

• Healthcare Administrative experience
• Medical scheduling, insurance verification, medical front desk, etc..
• EMR experience (EPIC specifically is a big plus!)
