Position SummaryUnit OverviewMed Surg VisionA top functioning inpatient nursing unit at Orlando Health with the most qualified, caring, and ENGAGED team members. Our team ASSURES patients and families by exceeding quality and patient experience metrics.South Tower 5A/5C Medical Surgical units at Orlando Regional Medical Center have the maximum capacity of 52 bed semi-private rooms (5A 20 beds/5C 32 beds) with the capability of taking care of a variety of med-surg patients with a non-critical status. Our units accept patients who are long term, pending placement, or looking for a skilled nursing facility along with other placement challenges. Our units also accept patients who are admitted for surgical implications, medical management, amputations, and other disease processes such as hypertension, pneumonia, COVID-19, and diabetes.Our units are also capable of cardiac monitoring with remote telemetry. If our patients become criticallyill and exceed medical surgical level of care; we safely transfer to a stepdown/critical care unit.Ideal Ratio:* Nurses: 5:1* Nursing Assistants: 8:1* Charge Nurse on 5A | Charge Nurse on 5C with no patient assignmentPosition SummaryThe Clinical Assistant Nurse Manager (CANM) isresponsible for leading the shift operations within the clinical setting to ensure deliveryof high-quality care, exceptional customer experience, and optimal patient flow. In conjunction with the Department Nursing Operations Manager and the Assistant Nursing Operations Manager (ANOM); the CANM provides guidance, fosters collaboration, and is responsible for the unit's clinical operations including patient care assignments, customer experience, productivity, and quality outcomes in settings where an acute care patient receives active treatment for an injury, episode of illness, a medical condition, or post intervention with assessment.Position DetailsLocation - Orlando Reginal Medical Center - 52 W.
