Summary

This position coordinates the activities in the processing area on each shift to produce finished frozen vegetables at target specifications in a food safe environment, to maximize operational efficiencies and to ensure the safety of all employees. They will advise the Production Manager of current conditions and support the Production Manager’s accountability in their areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Works closely with other shift supervisors, production leads and managers to ensure that plant goals are met.
• Ensures compliance to company policies and procedures. Ensures demonstrated leadership of team members and other support personnel is conducted in a participative management style conducive with operational goals.
• Is responsible for supporting, managing or implementing Food Safety and Product Quality standards.
• Ensures that all employees are following safe practices and participating in the CARE process by being proactive in their approach to safety inside and outside of work.
• Supervises the Production Leads and offers them support on their shifts.
• Ensures that the processing area is operating as efficiently as possible at all times in conjunction with changes in the product throughout each shift.
• Ensures that all processing area employees are properly trained to operate equipment, keep records, make timely communications and to complete any other activity occurring in their area to maximize overall operational effectiveness.
• Ensure that process product quality, food safety, and overall sanitation procedures and practices for meeting specification or standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Relevant Experience

• Preferred two years plus related supervisory experience overseeing a vegetable processing line
