Northwest Permanente, P.C. is currently seeking a Board Certified Diagnostic Medical Physicist to join our growing medical group. The emphasis of this position is diagnostic imaging physics and Radiation Safety in medical imaging; including equipment evaluations and quality assurance; radiation dose optimization and image quality; education of technologists, allied health personnel, and physicians; interpret, ensure compliance, and integrate radiation safety regulations and best practice standards in consult with the Radiation Safety Officer. Knowledge, familiarity, and experience with use of physicist evaluations of diagnostic imaging equipment used in Mammography, CT, Nuclear Medicine, MRI, Fluoroscopy (including CV/IR), and general radiology, as well as radiation measurement instrumentation is expected.
Experience with radiation shield design for diagnostic imaging including SPECT and PET-CT is a plus.
