Job Details

***Solar Technician / Electrician******Onsite in Issaquah, WA******4 Month Contract***
***Pay Rate: $35/Hr. on W2***

MUST HAVE:

* Demonstrate detailed knowledge of solar industry best practices, NEC requirements, NFPA70E, and diagnosis/repair of common solar failures.
* Demonstrate experience performing complex but repetitive testing, creating a safe work environment, performing troubleshooting, and managing a team of peers or contractors.
* 5 years electrical experience desired as well as licensing to work as an electrician.

Primary Duties

* Ensure that all plant electrical equipment is maintained at optimal levels and efficiencies.
* Report normal, abnormal, or emergency plant conditions to the Site Manager. Take all necessary corrective action in accordance with established policy or at the direction of the Site Manager.
* Ensure compliance with all safety requirements, and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.
* Ensure compliance with all environmental requirements, and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.
* Ensure compliance with all Haz. Mat. requirements, and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.
* Prepare required reports as directed by the Site Manager.
* Oversee the daily upkeep of necessary plant logs and records to meet all regulatory standards.
* Monitor and maintain the Plant Operations Manual and assure that operating policies and procedures are kept up to date.
* Monitor and maintain the Maintenance Manual and assure that operating policies and procedures are kept up to date. Act as a conduit to the OEMs for information gathering and sharing.
* Oversee and be involved in the activities of maintenance personnel in performing maintenance and repair activities.
* Oversee and be involved in the activities of operations personnel in performing efficient remote operation of the facilities.
* Monitor preventive and predictive maintenance programs to ensure that equipment historical records are maintained and trended via the plant's CMMS and provide trend information to the Site Manager.
* Provide task lists and schedules for plant maintenance and contractor personnel for normal operating periods, planned outage periods, and forced outage situations.
* Ensure that the training of operations and maintenance personnel meet job requirements.
* Sustain the morale and motivation of operations and maintenance personnel and handle employee grievances as they arise.
* Complete other tasks as requested by the Site Manager.
* Assist with the location, screening and hiring of operations and maintenance personnel.
* Manage equipment warranty claims.
Job Qualifications:
* Demonstrate detailed knowledge of solar industry best practices, NEC requirements, NFPA70E, and diagnosis/repair of common solar failures.
* Demonstrate experience performing complex but repetitive testing, creating a safe work environment, performing troubleshooting, and managing a team of peers or contractors.
* 5 years electrical experience desired as well as licensing to work as an electrician.
* Working familiarity with system switching.
* Certification to operate a scissor lift and forklift or the ability to become certified.
* Must have and maintain a valid motor vehicle operator's license and clean driving record; ideally, DOT driving license or the ability to obtain.
* NABCEP certification or other component-specific solar certifications are helpful.
* Demonstrate critical thinking skills in real time, high stress situations and people management.
* Ability to develop detailed documentation and submit detailed/accurate reports daily.
* Ability to work well with subcontracted maintenance personnel in resolution of issues identified in the field.
* Demonstrate the ability to lead and mentor more junior field personnel.
* Possess interpersonal skills to manage customer relations successfully.
* The ability to work in a safe and alert manner is an essential function of the job.
