Part Time
6-8 Hours Per Week
Start: August 1, 2024
End: May 23, 2025
Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and assessments for students with various disabilities.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student goals and needs.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure coordinated and integrated services.
Deliver effective therapy interventions to address motor skills, coordination, strength, balance, and mobility.
Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of students' educational plans.
Offer guidance and support to teachers and staff in promoting optimal physical development and inclusion.
Stay informed about current research, best practices, and developments in the field of physical therapy.
Requirements:
Valid state license or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist.
Master's degree or higher in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
Prior experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with students, parents, and multidisciplinary teams.
Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans and measure progress.
Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of a diverse student population.
Compliance with state and federal regulations regarding student confidentiality and privacy.
