Developmental Foundations is Hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) - Charleston, IL Near Charleston, IL

$17.00/hour

2nd Shift (evenings on weekdays and weekends)

Part-Time

Do you want an opportunity to serve with compassion and help others? We seek patient and dedicated caregivers to assist adults with disabilities in their neighborhood home. Our Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) provide support to adults living in CILA homes (Community Integrated Living Arrangements) with around-the-clock care. Developmental Foundations, a family owned company providing quality residential services since 1986, is hiring 2nd shift Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) at our home in ­­­­­Charleston, IL.

What you can expect

  • Network of support - trainers, nurses, supervisors, and co-workers

  • Work schedules include a combination of weekdays, weekends, and holidays

Pay

  • $17.00/hour

Benefits

  • DSP training is provided and paid. Once trained, you will become a certified DSP and will be added to the Health Care Worker Registry (HCWR)

  • DSP work qualifies for CNA license renewal

Qualifications

  • DSP or CNA experience beneficial, but not required
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred, but not required
  • Entry level position

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED required
  • Successfully complete background check
  • Weekend/holiday availability may be required

  • Companionship
  • Housekeeping and meal prep
  • Assistance with medication
  • Assistance with personal care, including bathing and toileting
  • Ability to stay alert and responsive
